Overview
PPAF seeks partners and formation of alliances in relation to its activities, and welcomes inquiries. If you are interested in learning more, or have a specific proposal in relation to PPAF's programs, please write to: ppafoundation@gmail.com
PPAF enters into partnerships or alliances with organizations in several ways:
- collaboration on programs and events
- memoranda of understanding
- informal cooperation and
- assistance in identifying investment resources
PPAF encourages its partners - businesses, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders - to participate in the United Nations Global Compact. The Global Compact is a framework for particularly businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally-accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption. Non-governmental organizations may also join, and PPAF is a member. Information about the Global Compact and how to join can be found
here.

United Nations Public-Private Alliance for Rural Development
In the 2003 ECOSOC Ministerial Declaration, the Council stressed the importance of alliances among all stakeholders to achieve the aims of rural development. The mission of the UN Public-Private Alliance for Rural Development (UNPPA) is to identify, highlight and promote replication of successful business policies and practices that are both profitable and promote social and economic advancement of poor people in rural areas. Results of this win-win approach are brought to the attention of the international community through the UN Economic and Social Council. The Public-Private Alliance Foundation is an outgrowth of the UNPPA and maintains close collaboration with it. For more info please click

The United Nations can only do its job properly with partners. We will need to forge even closer ties to civil society groups, foundations, academic institutions, the media, labour unions, and the private sector. Each has unique contributions to make.
